|Week 2 (6/10-6/14)||Lunch||Mediterranean Bow-Tie Pasta with chicken, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, grilled yellow peppers and artichoke||Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with sugar snap peas and fresh baby carrots||Cucumber sushi rolls and chicken cashew (cabbage) salad and Dragonfruit||“Fish and chips” – baked and breaded fish sticks with baked sweet potato wedges and watermelon||Cheese roll-ups, veggie “slaw” salad, and mixed fruit|

|Week 4 (6/24-6/28)||Lunch||Italian Pasta Salad with tricolor rotini and diced vegetables with honeydew melon and fresh spinach||Turkey, cheese, & lettuce sandwich with fruit kebabs||Veggie stir-fry rice with chicken potstickers and mango slices||Baked Chicken Drumsticks/drummets, apple sauce, raw veggies w/ avocado dip||“Taco Bar”, with corn-squash-bean salad, and guava or papaya|

|Children can finish food from home at arrival in the morning. You can bring snacks and lunch from home as long as it follows the food policy in the childcare agreement and is labeled with child’s name (lunchbox fine); tuition remains the same.||*Whole grains are used for noodles, bread, tortillas, rice, crackers, etc. (natural or organic used when possible)|
|*If there is any religious or health preclusion for eating a certain food, I will substitute an appropriate alternative. You must let me know in written advance.|
|*Fruit and Veggies are organic. Menu items listed above may be substituted with other types depending on seasonal availability.|
|*Meat is either organic or all-natural (no antibiotics/hormones/preservatives). Fish is wild-caught.|
|*Milk is organic and 1% milk fat content for children over 2yrs old; it is offered at lunch and snacks only. Filtered water (only) is available all other times.|
|*Vegetarian Options are available for each day. Please inquire if you are interested in this meal program.|
Avalon reserves the right to switch meals to different days and include substitutions or alternatives based on seasonal and organic availability.
Special learning days and celebrations for June with meal substitutions, exceptions, and additions:
- Friday, June 7th (Child Birthday): Afternoon snack will be substituted for homemade (children will help) whole grain muffin “cupcakes” with homemade whipped cream topping and selection of toppings (fresh fruit slices, chocolate sprinkles, small marshmallows).
